Melbourne was made for Art. Art was made for Melbourne.

One of the things I love about my new home is the art and expression taking place in so many different forms.  I decided to try and capture this throughout the city (and I had a lot of fun doing so).  This city is filled with so many artists:
Those who can sketch.
Those with a unique talent.

Photographers on rooftops.

The well known buskers..

(and the not so well known)

This city inspires you to be yourself and to explore your art.

Whether it be leaving your mark in one of the many alleyways

Or dressing to test the reactions

It tempts you to leave your mark in some way, somewhere permanent.

But, there's still those rushing by, not noticing the art they are creating (being captured in).

For me, life is about interaction, and expression- from even the smallest form.

I love Melbourne.

This is what Sunday's should look like.

I decided some people around me need to smile more.  While watching Shrek 2, I came up with an idea for a photo shoot that would result in smiles.  It worked.

These cute little guys were just hanging about on Brunswick Street.

Ready for the shoot.

And the bubbles begin!!

I asked him to try a blank expression, pretty good.

But, it's pretty hard to hold back smiles with so many bubbles around!

We covered the foot path.

Bubbles= smiles.

I like this shot.

Ez.

They tickle the nose.

And dance around your legs.

Adam was elated.

When we were done with the shoot, we spread the bubbles all around Fitzroy, Brunswick and Coburg.  It was fun watching people try not to smile.

A glimpse at life in Coburg (Cool-burg).

Lacking creative inspiration at the moment.  Need to be working/earning money more to get in a better flow with everything.  So I'm not overly stoked with these shots, but there's heaps of ideas up my sleeve- when I'm filled with creative energy, I'll get them happening!

'The Real Thing'

My humble home.

Sunshine over railways (think colour may have been more effective here)

Tram lines in the sky.

Daily commute.

Colourful alley ways.

"Happy cheap markets"

These shots kinda sum up Coburg.  It's grungy, it's colourful, it's fun, it's Melbourne.

Happy Feet and Winter hugs.

Johnny had a party. The old crew got together. Awesome fun.

I was shooting with my Canon 450D with a 50mm.

Here's some shots of hugs and feet:
