Gay Rights Flashmob

Saturday 28 May, the Gay Rights Flashmob was held at Southern Cross Station.

What does that mean?  Basically, you turn up in bright colours with someone of the same gender, spread around the station and freeze for 5 minutes to show support of Same Sex Rights.  Southern Cross is such a big space, so the number of people appeared small, but in fact, there were couples standing all around the station.  Here are some shots (a little difficult to shoot, but anyway):

MELBOURNE PHOTO CREW!!!!!!

So.. We've started a Melbourne based group. Check it out/Join us: Melbourne Photo Crew

It's open for anyone, with any camera, any level of experience to meet up and have monthly shoots, cover events, talk photography and just generally hang out.  First event was last Sunday.  Theme was Soul of the City.  Cool people came.  Good shots were taken.  Here are some of mine:

Family celebrating that thing called Easter.

Despite being an aethiest, I enjoy that holidays bring good people together, who wouldn't otherwise come together.  Here is my beautiful family, enjoying a BBQ in the spirit of Easter.  To me, Easter means time away from work to enjoy the more important things.

It wasn't the best conditions for shooting, very shady.  But I love how natural and happy the shots came out.

AMINALS!!!!!!!!!

I am a huge animal lover, I melt at the site of a furry friend, cringe at thought of stepping on ants and am pretty sad I am petless at the moment.  So I took a visit to the Ballarat Wildlife Park over Easter.  I even made a pretty big step at conquering my fear of snakes (but was still too scared to photograph them).
